  2. I lost a lot of weight on a low-calorie semi-plant-based diet. After a year-and-a-half, I hit my target weight. Then I started on a low-carb diet in order to maintain it at the first of the year. Though I wouldn't mind losing a few more pounds, it is not that important. I actually have no idea what my body is burning. I don't know if I have achieved metabolic flexibility or not. I am consuming under 50g of carbohydrates per day (if my calculations are correct) and my average or daily goal is 30g or less. I also do, do 16-20hr fasts once or twice a week though I do start to get hungry around the 20-hour mark. But generally speaking, I am rarely hungry.

    So, what sign should I be looking for to know if i am in ketosis or not?

  3. For the symptoms, I got hit hard with lower muscle strength and insomnia. Today I wasn't able to lift anywhere close to my usual. I've been in a pretty bad brain fog all day too. I'll follow-up when/if it gets better.

  14. i am litterally shtng cream cheese and fat bombs. i have gained 79lbs in the past 2 months. i eat a block of chedder for snacks durring the day as a snack but i am still hungry.. i cover the blocks in cream cheese and spinkle brocolli flowerettes on them and sea salt. my breath smells like a heffers bumm and daisies mixed together, if that makes sense? i just dont understand the weight gain.. my forehead has rolls now!   23. It seems that a lot of people are focusing not on getting healthy but merely weight loss. That is a huge mistake. Focus on health and the weight will peel off automatically. You'll also have a lot less of these keto symptoms and all of the benefits of keto. Do things naturally, consuming foods close to their original form with a minimum of processing or interference.   25. This video was very informative and so helpful! Thank you for making and posting it. I’ve been on the Keto Diet for 35 days. I’ve been using the urine strips to test my ketones. On day 3, I presented small amounts of ketones, and for the last month I consistently had small to medium amounts. Yesterday and today, I presented “none” and “trace” amounts. Nothing changed in my diet. After doing some research online, I stumbled upon your videos, and thank you for such thorough explanations! Now I’m going to toss my urine strips (I’m too much of a baby to have to prick my finger to test my blood lol) and just continue to track my food and symptoms.

    I experienced all of the beginning side effects you posted, and now that I’m over a month in, I can also attest to all the positive effects! I was initially very discouraged at how badly my workouts suffered when I first started keto. I run and I do CrossFit, and I also log my workouts so I really knew the tangible impacts keto first had on my strength and endurance. But this last week, I noticed remarkable changes. I’ve been PR’ing my weights and my speed! So I think it’s fair to say my body has now adapted to using fat for fuel! Praise God!

    For those who might be struggling with the initial symptoms of keto – hang in there! It gets easier, and then you will have more strength and you will feel less hungry.   26. it's not that the bacteria in the gut adapts but the amount of different species change. depending on what "food" is available different species/genus will be prevalent. so with higher fat more bacteria that breaks down fat will be in the gut. other bacteria will still be there due to the smaller "feed" concentration or the "waste/product" of those that break down fat

Suffered fatigue after a week for a good too weeks ie nodding off at desk . have been doing keto for about 3 months with skipping breakfast and occasional Omad amazing not hungry the only downside is bench press as dropped but on the plus side now I’ve lost over a stone pull ups have improved
