In this video I review the elusive L’oven Keto Friendly Zero Net Carbs Bread currently sold at Aldi for $2.99. Aldi’s Keto Bread has been sold out everywhere but I was able to find some. The Bread comes in two varieties Multiseed and Wheat. I also do a taste test with Butter. The taste test on Loven’s Keto Friendly Zero Net Carbs was a success as both loaves of bread tasted like real bread.

Upon conducting a taste test on Loven’s Keto Friendly Zero Net Carbs Bread, I felt satisfied and satiated with the texture and taste. I will say that I developed some cravings for carbs after eating a slice of each bread. but they subsided after a few minutes. I was really impressed by the taste, smell and consistency of the bread.

But unfortunately, the ingredients are really a deal breaker for anyone following a Ketogenic diet. They are made with Wheat, Gluten, Oats and Soy. The only aspect of being Keto friendly is the fact they’re Zero Net Carbs as Total Carbohydrate is 9 grams and dietary fiber is also 9 grams. If you subtract these two figures, then you’re left with Zero Net Carbs.

I wouldn’t recommend this “Keto Friendly” bread to anyone following a Ketogenic protocol. But, if you’re having a higher carb day or following a Low Carb eating plan, then I would recommend you consume this Bread. You will get the satiating effect from eating a real bread while still maintaining a low carb approach.

I also measured my blood glucose levels after consuming 2 slices of Aldi’s zero net carb keto friendly bread. I started the day measuring 85. After a half hour of consuming this bread, my blood glucose levels spiked to 103. One hour later in went down to 98. Then 2 hours later it read 94. Which means that I was temporarily knocked out of ketosis but after a few hours I went right back to my normal range.

  1. Wheat gluten has 0 carbs. Probably these breads have no wheat but wheat gluten. and the cabs come from the oats and soy. If gluten is not good these gluten breads will hurt the keto community health. It's better to eat a normal piece of bread (14g of carbs) once in a while and avoid the new keto wheat gluten bread. Twice I ordered vital wheat flour not knowing it Was gluten. That's how I learned my lesson. I throw it away.

  2. The front label can tell you anything, but the facts are on the back. Also, I think those numbers are good after eating the bread.

  3. It’s best to make keto bread by yourself . It’s a LOT of preservative . I sat the Aldi bread for a month for some reason it doesn’t go bad

  4. Total carbs 9 grams . It's best to go by that and if you want to stay in ketosis dont bother

  6. You are not pronouncing Aldi’s correctly. Blood Glucose of 103 is normal. It is NOT an indication of you being knocked out of Ketosis. It just measures the sugar in your blood. If you eat or drink it will go up. A jump of less than 30 is good anything more than that is bad. You need to test Ketones to see if you are in Ketosis. There you need to be .5 or higher. Try it again please.

  7. Hi, I don't test my blood sugar to spikes but I do check my weight. I do enjoy Aldi's bread, typically when I know I am going to have a particularly low carb day. I eat 4 slices because I cant eat just 2 and I do this about twice a week. I am able to continue losing weight (down to 173 from 240, using Keto and Intermittent Diet. So it is working for me and I like it better than the Thin Slim Foods bread, which isn't bad, just prefer the Aldi's and it cheaper and feels more like bread.

  9. Blood sugar of 103 does NOT mean you are kicked out of ketosis! You have to have a ketone meter to know what your ketones are and whether or not you are or are not in/knock out of ketosis. A blood sugar reading of 103 is fairly normal after eating. A bit higher than you'd like probably but honestly without knowing what it was prior to and since you did not test before eating the blood glucose test was basically meaningless. What you "normally run" in the morning and what you were immediately before eating this bread are two different things. Your blood glucose may have just been running a little high that morning. Who knows? No wonder you dont have a ton of subscribers, you obviously don't know much about the keto diet, blood glucose or much of anything you attempted to talk about. I mean I guess how you thought the bread tasted was relevant.🤷‍♀️ So, good job?

  10. Have you tried the Franz keto bread? I'm not really following a keto diet persay but I have trouble with my blood sugar, so I'm trying to in essence, lower my A1C.
    I'm just wondering how it compares, the keto bread vs say a thin sliced whole wheat on A1C- but these things are not easy to find online.

  11. This bread is not at every Aldi.because I'm in Maryland and finding it difficult to get one. Aldi should try and supply to all states

  12. 🤣🤣🤣 I love the review of your dad… 103 blood sugar is normal after eating anything and does not mean you’re knocked out of ketosis.

  13. Thanks for doing the video. However, higher blood glucose does not mean that you were knocked out of ketosis. Eating period, even zero carbs, increases glucose and insulin. Did you actually test your ketones?
