I have had major heart palpitations during my five weeks on keto. They say it’s not for everyone. I have a heart murmur, and I don’t think it’s a good diet for me. I’m going to sorely increase my carbs to incorporate beans and a little fruit. I just can’t do all the fat and animal protein. My body is not responding well.
Shame on you GMA!

I'm not a quitter but I could not go through with the keto diet because it made me feel awful. I then tried the Agoge diet and I lost so much fat, and most importantly no more cellulite.
Those that want to lose fat should definitely try the Agoge diet plan. It's personalized and well balanced. Keto on the other hand made me feel like shit.
If you ask me, the keto diet is not for most people. It's just really difficult to follow and you feel exhausted. But the Agoge diet on the other hand feels great, and it works too.
If you cut any carbs, cut added sugar (except for fruit). You will be shocked how effective it is
Bs I’ve been on keto and lost 35lbs I feel amazing! Big pharmacy is not liking keto because they lose money
The Agoge diet works best for fat loss. I tried the keto diet but it was very difficult to follow and very hurting on the body.
Can't you just work out and try not to eat too much fast food, snacks etc ?
I really tried sticking with the keto, but I just felt awful and it is also really difficult to adhere to. Then I tried the Agoge diet and it was life changing, I highly recommend it to everybody.

The main reason I started dieting was to get rid of cellulite, however the keto diet made it unbearable. That's why I tried the Agoge diet and it worked great
My own experience suggests that the keto diet is over-hyped. A good diet shoould be easy to follow and be healthy. Agoge diet is a good option, I lost a lot of persistent belly fat.
Why did U guys even bother omg 😂😂
The keto diet requires supplementing with electrolytes. You loose alot of water weight and with that comes potassium, magnesium and sodium. Therefore the side effect of palpitations.
It's not unhealthy if you correctly supplement with electrolytes.
This is cause by electrolytes imbalance, not the ketogenic diet.
I have been on keto for a month, no afib at all. Usually have an attack weekly. I rest my case.
I hate these <3min coverage (lack of) on such important health subjects. Irresponsible reporting. Headline-grabbing attention ONLY! One more of these irresponsible segments, I will be not watching this "morning edutainment news" program!
A confused mind always says 'no'.
Confuse enough people and it might be possible to bury this Keto stuff upsets the profits from big pharma and the food industry.
I've done Keto for ten months and lost almost 90 pounds – I ain't going back.
Next time I should just order a salad 😂
14,000 people had to remember what they ate over a 22 year span and had them fill out a food questionnaire. That’s the study???? Boom, that’s all the proof I need lmfao
its a lie!!!!! keto is the best diet ever
Potassium and Magnesium…your body is in a diuretic state and your cells need the minerals replaced. 🙂
Fried food in refined oil is a no no. If you do keto you need to do it properly. Just like any other diet
"Healthy grains" is an oxymoron.
A food questionnaire is not considered a test study. A keto diet is 5%-20% total calories. This study says 44%.

Low carb and keto are not the same
44% is not a KETO diet. The governmental guidelines are the dangerous part. Pushing breakfast cereals, oatmeal, margarine, egg white only omelets, low fat milk (milk sugar – lacrosse mostly), low fat yogurt (lots of added sugar), low salt. If you take in too much salt your body will eliminate. If you take in too little salt you can experience heart palpitations.
I'm having palpitations after only 2 weeks of keto. I joining WW. I know keto caused it. LISTEN to your body every, and do what works for you!
Actually this is true for me. During my fasting stages I get ectopic heartbeats and disappear once I eat. So fasting DOES affect heart rhythm.
High carb diet takes decades to kill you while Afib could kill you instantly. Yeah, fair trade huh
Love the results from ketosis BUT after 2 weeks of moderate protein, less than 50 grams of carbs and the remainder with good fats I always get PVC's.
Cannot figure out why and my Cardiologist cannot help me. When I go off and out from ketosis it resolves itself usually within another week or two.
It sucks cause I really like all the other effects. Any ideas?
this happened to me and I was horrified!!! Thought I was dying. I lost 20 lbs but I couldn't sleep because of my heart palpitations.
Lean meat?…Missing out on healthy grains ?….what a bunch of ignorant plebs!
It’s sad that this lazy ass journalism is what educates humanity, it's really sad..
Not only was the most inaccurate way to perform a study here in a questionnaire format but they completely misrepresented what a low carb diet is.. The study refers to. low carb as someone who takes in 48% of their daily caloric intake in carbs, well reality for anyone on a true low carb diet is 5%..
This is desperation from the anti keto. community that stand to lose money from it's success.. That would be the sugar and corn. industry and big pharma, who knows this show may be getting paid as well..
Notice how all of these ‘worthless’ correlation studies all point to the same conclusion? #plantbased
More worthless info leaving the viewer lost & confused.
I smell bullshit.
I am gonna believe in a questionnaire study because I am very stupid!
