AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s Spotlight On edition, is a long form interview series featuring actors and TV personalities discussing their roles and shows as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode host Jared Gilkerson interviews David Rodriguez.

David “Nino” Rodriguez (born September 18, 1977 in El Paso, Texas) is an American heavyweight boxer. He was currently ranked number 13 in the world by the WBC and number 12 by the WBA while 5 in the world by the IBA. He defeated Owen Beck in El Paso to win the WBC FECOMBOX Mexican Heavyweight Championship.

Rodriguez has a 36–2 record (34 KOs, 24 inside 1st round) Rodriguez held the Texas Heavyweight title, New Mexico Heavyweight title as well as the WBC Fecarbox Latin title. That was until his most prestigious win against a very tough and durable contender in Manuel Pucheta for the N.A.B.A Heavyweight title. Now the biggest win up to date is against former #1 contender and challenger for the heavyweight championship Owen Beck. Owen was knocked out by a double short hook for over 15 minutes. Rodriguez was launched into world recognition and was up for serious contention for the world heavyweight championship. Rodriguez since retired after a near death, life altering attemptive murder in which four suspects came behind him and brutally slashed his throat. Rodriguez received 369 stitches and was 36-0 and undefeated up until that altercation. Rodriguez lost twice since the incident and now is a dominant key note speaker and helps many charities with anti bullying, domestic violence and victims of violent crimes. Shorty after the incident Rodriguez stepped away from boxing after two straight losses. The first against Darnell Wilson and second against Raymond Ochieng. Both were the first two upsets of a very decorated and brilliant career in a 16 year span.

    He is slaying it….
It’s all about the TRUTH and the literal dismantling of the Deep State Swamp and the NWO Scumbag Elite.

  2. I watched this not because I follow boxing but because I have come to know David throughout his citizen journalust opinion channels. I adored this interview because it showed the very real side of a man I really appreciate for a totally different reason. Well done.

  3. As an admirer of Nino, I must confess I only know the “after” the ring man. That being said, he is highly intelligent, respectful, and heartfelt. Kudos to him. He embraces life and he tells it like it us.🤗🥰👍🏼

  4. Damn, I wish I would’ve followed Nino’s career earlier. He would’ve been better off talking to Roy Jones and John Wirt. He would probably have gotten a better shot without giving up too much. I worked for Don King in 2007/2008 and learned a lot more about the fight game than I did just being a fan of the sport. If I had gotten to know Nino back in those days, I would’ve used whatever but if influence I had to help.

  5. David is the greatest man love the dude! Checkout Nino's Corner it's great! And don't forget keto with Nino!

  6. David you reminded me of Ali . Something about the way you move but you are faster with your punches. My Dad loved boxing I can remember as a very young girl watching boxing with him and that is the ONLY sport I like watching. You are good David but if you go back in go with your heart and soul .🤗💗

  7. I've never been into sports much especially boxing…my dad did like it bcs he did some boxing in his youth. I came to know Nino with a viral video regarding child trafficking and later Charlie Ward mentioned him. I'm a truth seeker and I love his patriotic heart and truther podcasts! All in all, a good man with an amazing heart, easy on the eyes too❣🤗

  8. Big ups to the interviewer, he’s really good. He asks all the right questions , he listens and doesn’t talk over the guest and he knows his sh!t! 👏🏽👏🏽

  9. David is a really cool guy…don't know him personally, but what I know about him 🥇🙏🏆👍

  10. People say keeping it real is a hard thing to do. Keeping it real is easy. Being fake and being soft is hard to do.
Thanks for keeping it real David.
