This West African inspired omelet is my favorite canned sardines recipe.

West African Sardine Omelet
3 eggs
1 can sardines
1/4 cup onion
1/2 TSP Cayenne Pepper
1/2 TSP Salt
1/2 TSP Fish Sauce
Avocado Oil

1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl
2. Heat up layer of avocado oil in a frying pan on medium-high heat
3. Cook omelet on both sides
4. Serve with Primal Kitchen Ketchup

The following canned salmon recipe was taken from a Sundays with Sisson email and is Mark Sisson’s personal favorite way to prepare canned Salmon.

Sisson’s Canned Salmon
1 can salmon
1/4 Cup Greek Yogurt
1/2 small onion sliced thin
1 TBSP capers
1/4 Cup Pickle Juice
Hot Sauce to taste
Salt + Pepper to taste

1. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl

Handful of macadamia nuts
Handful of dried coconut

  3. Ever had a ideal that bugs ya? Bugs ya, and keep on bugging ya? This is it.! Deep fried sardine. YOU HEARD CORRECT! DEEP FRIED SARDINES. Sardines, these was package in La. Hot Sauce. OMG IT YUMMY all i did was coat them in cornstarch and Deep fried them. put them on a towel and salt them YUMMY

  4. I HIGHLY recommend those Season sardines. Been the only brand for me for years now. Huge and tasty fillets in olive oil.

  5. Fish sauce has natural glutamate. Pretty much MSG. I note it’s Red Boat, the best widely-available fish sauce.
