  1. Yep, I feel your pain 😲!!! I've tried to stick with carnivore so many times only to cave after a few days (reached 7 last year).

    I love to cook, I love to eat and I love food waaay too much. But, still willing to try carnivore again for at least a month. I'm on a mission to overcome RA. Ketovore seems like the best fit for me nowadays.

    You may find its worth revisiting. What I'm learning each time I fail is that it gets a little easier to mentally welcome a fully animal-based diet. I'm even getting better at limiting dairy (my real kryptonite).

  2. I understand that and probably will be the same. Life is too short to be so restricted. I want to lose weight and be healthy, but we have to do what's best for us. I too love coffee in the morning and makes me feel great for the rest of the day. Have a great week!

  3. my two cents worth, check out Dr Robert Cywes, he is a carnivore bariatric surgeon, he goes into the psychology of food addiction.. very very informative.. all the big guns of carnivore will tell you that you need to do what is right for you.. i have been doing carnivore for nearly a month now, i feel good, but then again, i hate veges pretty much, so this works for me.. i enjoy carni because of its simplicity, whereas you enjoy more complex cooking.. we are all different.. good luck and good on you for trying!

  4. Carnivore is not for everyone and sorry it doesn't work for you. I also love Nicole and so we do have something in common. I do Carnivore and previously was keto for 10 months. There is a lot of education needed in both programs..Take care and enjoy your journey.

  7. you are brave to try that ketp coffee! Sorry carnivore didn't work for you! I am also a foodie and I certainly wouldn't choose to eat that way if I had a choice. Most videos that I watch are people who don't really have a choice since it gets rid of their health issue. I am praying that if carnivore does help me after 30 days then at least my body lets me add back in dairy and onions and garlic and other spices at some point. I didn't struggle like you did the first week because I am so desperate for relief that I was willing to do anything. Anyway, good try!

  8. You’re actually doing more carnivore then u think and you’re doing a great job with it. It’s only when you’re told u can’t have something is when u really want it and I’m the same way. At least with Keto u can make the foods u want just make the Keto version and you’ll be satisfied. I really haven’t found anything that I can’t make Keto and this is what keeps my husband and me on track. Love your videos and you’re great food ideas. Keep them coming 😉

  9. People who say “eating is not entertainment” obviously do not have food/cooking/feeding people as one of their love languages. Maybe it’s not entertainment for THEM, but I love cooking, experimenting in the kitchen, eating good food, and feeding people something I made and they enjoy.

  10. Erika, Nichole says to use flavored coffee which gives it a sweeter taste. She said regular coffee is too bitter and suggested to also add a pinch of salt to take away the bitterness. Maybe try it again ☺️

  11. I have to agree with you on the coffee with Stevia. “ A woman’s gotta do what a woman’s gotta do!” All those salt tablets make one retain weight. I have Hashimoto’s Thyroid and too much pink salt makes me hold on to water. Sounds like Carnivore is messing with your hormones. Please be good to yourself.

  12. I’m with you on doing what makes you happy, I have fibromyalgia also and when you get in that fibro funk you have to do whatever you can to make you feel better. I know I couldn’t do straight carnivore because I too don’t want to feel deprived, I want to be successful on my journey back to good health and with Keto I don’t feel like I’m deprived from foods I love….. I would feel that way doing just carnivore….. I love my salads and never plan on giving them up!! We live and we learn and we have to live happy if we are going to stay healthy ❤️

  13. Girl, I can tell you this isn’t for me. I just started Keto a month ago and if I tried to do this stuff it would totally put me over the edge. Good job for sticking with it for as long as you did.

  15. Just remember it’s not a “can’t have” it’s a just and have it later! I do the same thing when I tell myself I am not going to have something that’s what I crave but if I tell myself I can have it but just later it seems to work! Btw you do you who cares what is the viewers think you know your body! Love watching you thanks for the videos!!

  16. At the end of your meal prep videos you should totally mention your cook book and point people to where they can get it. You put in a lot of work and it can be really helpful to a lot of people.

  19. Erika I can really relate to the higher BS after not sleeping. I have chronic insomnia and recently ringing in the ears. I have gone from 5 hrs sleep to 2 hrs a night, so now my blood sugars have been over 100 in the mornings. UGGG! I like you would never want to go carnivore, maybe just a meal or two. I don't like coffee without the sweetness either, and I like my food seasoned. With all that I am dealing with right now, challenges would just drive me insane!! Thanks for sharing. We each know our limits and what is sustainable 💘

  20. I'm right there with you! I also enjoy my foods and it isn't just "eat to live" for me, and that is what I felt like when trying carnivore. I got through day 3 on the carnivore challenge but I just couldn't make it all the way. I missed variety with my protein. I missed my veggies so much and all the meat was not doing nice things to my stomach. I still ended up losing a pound, so that was a plus! On Keto I find it to be so much easier, especially after trying this. It got to the point I just didn't want to eat at all. My stomach was upset the whole time and meat was a total turnoff by the end of day 2.

  21. I tried but only made it two days. The same thing as far as the feeling of being too restricted even though it was food I love. Also for me, I felt horrible. Tired, bloated and sluggish. I never feel like that with keto. I really think the combo of the DS and no gallbladder made me feel like this. At least now I know.

  22. I got to day 4 and fell apart. I missed by veggies really badly. It wasn't for me either. Love your honesty throughout this video.

  23. I kid you not, if you put pink himalayan salt in your coffee, it softens the bitter of coffee and you can drink it without sweetener.
