  1. After a tough night of breastfeeding I started to consider giving my baby formula. Then this pops up on YouTube as well as the kids that were hospitalized because of sketchy formula.

  2. I started keto right after having my 2nd child while breastfeeding and continued on keto. Now I’m pregnant with my 3rd child and still on keto and just had gain around 9 to 10 lbs.
    My first and 2nd pregnancy I gained a total of 55 lbs each 😣 not knowing about keto by then. So now I feel healthy, with energy and my baby is developing perfectly!!
    I learned how to nourish my body, not putting anything in my mouth that is going to make feel sick!

  3. I didnt do keto as far as I know- while pregnant although at one appt I didn't eat breakfast and my urine showed super high ketones. My midwife told me to eat something. However most of my pregnancy I avoided high glycemic index carbs and sugar. I ate nutrient dense foods. Whole Meat and vegetables. Cheese, eggs butter etc. Kept the carbs and sugar out. You dont need any extra carbs and no sugar while pregnant. All the food you eat is converted to glucose for the baby so you dont need added sugar or carbs.

  4. Dr Berg please do an in depth video on ketogenic diet for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers as in is it safe to consume foods that have xanthum gum, or sugar substitute like erythritol etc.

  5. Any good diet plan shoould be healthy and convenient so people can follow it long term. That's why keto sucks, and why the Agoge diet is great. I got rid of my cellulite finally.

  6. I'm not a quitter but I couldn't go through with the keto diet because it made me feel awful. I then tried the Agoge diet and I lost so much fat, and most importantly no more cellulite.

  7. I'm 4 weeks postpartum and breastfeeding. I want to start eating keto. I wonder if the composition of macros in my breastmilk will change depending on how many carbs I consume. Or will the body regulate my milk so it's always the same? Will I have to eat a bit more carbs than normal keto diets to keep carb levels and milk supply normal?

  9. By far the best diet is the Agoge diet because it works great and is easy to adhere to. Keto is simply unhealthy and hard to follow.

  11. Just had a baby 8 days ago gained only a few pounds had a healthy healthy baby girl while on keto, continuing keto while breastfeeding and weight is melting off and as of today just 8 days pp. Might I add I feel great!

  12. Having insane stomach cramps since i started keto 4 days ago – postpartum breastfeeding a 2 month old. Milk supply is not less, but stomach pains are very painful. Increasing water intake isnt helping much. Daily normal bowel movements. Having 30g carbs, and around 1800-2000 cal a day. Baby is happy and healthy. Any advice?

  15. I had lots of problems and had pcos with irregular period, some times I had only my period twice a year. I started a keto diet 2 months ago since I started keto I had my period 5 days earlier and next month I missed my period and I did a pregnancy test the result is lm pregnant, 2-3 weeks pregnant. I never ever expected to get pregnant that easily. Everyone have problems with pcos should know that keto is changing the life. I love keto I love dr. Berg who gave me lots of information about keto he makes my life very easy and healthy . Before I started keto I was 75kg but now I’m 64kg .

  21. Dear Dr Berg I have a question ok more like a list all related to healthy keto fast and pregnancy also let's add pcos. Now I have pcos I been doing keto for just over a year now and I lost about 160lbs my many 2 questions is what can I do to help get pregnant and what should I do once pregnant I see video that okay to do keto when pregnant but not really fasting so can you do a more detailed video on a healthy keto pregnancy diet what's best as in how after to eat while keeping in mind the pcos and keeping insulin resistance to a bare minimum I got a few tips here and there from other videos but I'd love to see one more detailed in this subject once pregnant and how to do keto best when pregnant thank you so much for your time love your YouTube videos you have been a real blessing in my life

  22. Dr. Berg, PLEASE delve deeper into ketosis and lactation. For some women it isn't safe.
    I've been doing healthy keto while exclusively breastfeeding for 5 months. After feeling unwell I had some bloodwork done. I had NON-DIABETIC LACTATION KETOACIDOSIS. My anion gap levels were in the severe range. After some research I was able to find a handful of cases of women who experienced the same condition and ended up hospitalized.
    The condition is rare, but it happens.
    I've done healthy keto before with great success, but breastfeeding changes the way your body responds.

  24. Breast IS best. I was crushed when we had to supplement with baby formula while I dealt with a milk supply problem. When I looked at the ingredients, it made me so sad–I wouldn't give that stuff to a dog, let alone my newborn child! I was highly motivated to ditch it that crap and get back to breast alone as soon as possible, which (thank God!) I was able to do pretty quickly with a strenuous effort of pumping and taking herbal suppliments. Why in the world there is no clean, animal-based baby formula? The Weston A. Price Foundation talks about making your own from raw milk, which sounds a bit scary, but perhaps not as scary as feeding your infant corn syrup!
