Hey guys! Today’s video is about my first week on the ketogenic diet. To me, the keto diet is basically a high fat diet where you are intentional about counting your “macros”. In this video I chat about my first week on the diet. I talk about my symptoms, keto insomnia, cravings, thoughts on weigh in & measurements, discipline, foods and meals I’m enjoying and more. I picked up “The Keto Diet” by Leanne Vogel and I’m learning a lot more about nutrition – I’ve been really enjoying it.

  3. The low carb world is my intention but I start with basic keto I’ve done this before it works many say it’s not a diet this is a life style I agree I need to change not only my habits but my life style. It a journey not a race. But thank you for all your info.

  8. I'm been on the keto diet since march 17 2018 i eat wild salmon, skinless chicken thigh, eggs, steak, vegetables, lean beef. Even though i don't count calories i limit my portion sizes. Many people fail this diet because they are having too big of portions so they are taking in way too much calories. I have 5 days that i don't have any pop or pasta. This low carb diet is best for obese people.

  9. Hi sweetie, While I watched, I snacked on a quarter of a cup of a blend of macadamia nuts, pistachio nuts and walnuts. Perfectly timed enjoyment!

  10. Laura I started Keto back in March and I've lost 25 pounds so far 😀 BUT I'm about to go on vacation for 4 weeks. EEK lol

  12. Hey Laura! I’ve been loving your vids lately. I live in Ontario but I may be moving to Vancouver for grad school in August (I find out today actually). I’m freaking out about the change in environment and not knowing anyone there! Do you have any tips for a big move like that?
