In this video, we’re going to talk about some incredible MCT oil health benefits.

What is MCT oil?
MCT means medium-chain triglycerides. MCT oil is a unique oil that will not just turn into ketones very rapidly, but it will also bypass certain digestive processes. You don’t need bile from the gallbladder to help you digest MCT oil. It ultimately has the ability to spike ketones.

MCT oil side effects:

• When you first start consuming MCT oil, it could give you digestive troubles. Always start small at the beginning (1/2 tsp.) and consume more over time (up to 1 Tbsp).

• It may also have mild laxative effects.

• It may slow down weight loss. But, it is great to help you as you begin intermittent fasting.

• It is a refined product—it doesn’t have a lot of nutrients. Eat healthy, along with taking MCT oil.

  1. I wish I would of watched this before. I just took a tablespoon for my first time and was just curled up sweating with stomach pain.

  2. MCT is the closest thing to a miracle that you can consume. If you ignore every other health advice you hear, don't ignore this one.

  3. Excellent video and is inline with everything else I've read about MCT oil. However, at 3:12 into the video lactate is produced during exercise and not after. Some lactic acid may well remain after a workout but its production should be limited to just during the workout. As a side note training at lower intensity increases mitochondrial density over time and thus will yield much less lactic acid production at higher intensities.

  4. Wow! This channel is awesome! I have learned so much and my health is improving! I love the detailed physiology and science behind his explanations as it relates to health. He doesn’t talk down to you.

  5. What is your opinion on MCT wellness powder supplements that ppl mix in coffee or smoothies? Same effectiveness?

  6. Thank you Dr. Berg. I would like to know what is your opinion about the theory of Dr. Steven Gundry. It is different.

  7. I need food with MCT oil. I was putting it in my tea or coffee and my stomach would be upset for about an hour. It’s a game changer for health.

  8. I’m on my third bottle of MCT OIL I HAVE IT EVERY MORNING IN MY COFFEE thank you dr Berg

  9. Came back to this one for a review after finding a mct oil in a quality coffee creamer..

  10. Hi. I have refined coconut oil but is the unrefined better? Also is coconut oil and mct oil interchangeable? Thanks for anyone’s advice. Best.

  11. Is coconut oil the same thing as MCT oil? If I buy organic coconut oil will I be getting MCT oil?

  12. Just got MCT C8 Oil and did not have all this info about it. Thanks a lot for this very helpful video.

  13. Do you get the same benefits if one cook in coconut oil?
Because we use coconut oil for generations but we have diabetic and cardiac issues.

  14. I use 5 tablespoons of MCT oil in my matcha latte, and a good dash of grass fed butter 👍

  15. Please can anyone tell me how I incorporate fasting while taking medication morning and evening?
    Thank you ❤️
