  1. I'm so excited to try the first recipe for my husband (he's biscuit-obsessed and a type 2 diabetic)! Thank you!

  2. Wes in the first one did you substitute swerve powdered sugar or the swerve granulated sugar?

  3. I made these, and while they were really good, they were brown inside and out. It looks like I used a whole wheat flour, which obviously I did not. My oat fibe is brown! Why would that be? Anyone know?

  4. You need to try the garlic cheddar biscuits from Beauty and the foodie when you do the cheddar biscuit challenge

  5. I’m sorry, Wes. The first place biscuits look beautiful, the consistency is perfect…but they taste awful. They are salty and bitter. I don’t think butter or low carb jam will fix them.

  6. I always found that the heat on my hand heats the butter up too much so I cut it up a little before I freeze it and stick it in a food processor with the flour.

  7. If there is even a hint of metallic taste it is an absolute NO for me! Thanks for doing a comparison.

  8. I really enjoy your videos. And the comparison videos are a great learning process for me. Also like the fact you don't publish they recipes, but instead link the videos. Thanks

You didn't start with an excited, "Y'all!" (kinda a favorite feature for me).
    Still good video, though.

  10. Would you consider doing a Low Carb/Mock Chicken 'n' Dumpling recipe, with the biscuits that you plop in the hot chicken broth, please

  11. Hello Wes! You may want to revisit biscuit battles at some point. Black tie kitchen has a tremendous keto cheddar cheese biscuit recipe that will knock your socks off. It tastes so much like the Red Lobster ones!

  12. I tried the miracle biscuit just now and noticed mine were darker and didn’t rise as much. Checked my almond flour and it’s definitely the fine but I will try to food process it to a finer blend. I just watched your video again and yours look white where as mine have a darker color. You mentioned this was your second try and got better results. What kind of brand of flour did you use? Now they were good, don’t get me wrong, so much better than cloud bread/oopsie bread. But I really loooove bread. When I have a cheat day, I eat homemade bread. Btw, I new here but have been OMAD, one meal a day, for a year. I’ve kept the weight off but decided to make that keto OMAD. recently started fasting 2 or 3 days at a time, which helps if you’ve been OMAD for a year. I don’t get hungry , take vitamins and drink plenty of water. Thought I’d mention it in case you want to try another reset. I’ll look in your description for the flour, but if it’s not there maybe you have a minute to respond. Love your videos, another fellow southerner, Louisiana. Armpit of the south!

  13. Thank you for this awesome battle of biscuits. I will try the first recipe. May I know the serving size, please?

  14. Hi there…love the comparison's. Have you tried the "miracle flour" (lupin flour). I've been seeing recipes made with this flour that LOOK delicious. One in particular was made by "Idontsugarcoat" (, and the rolls look like the real thing. Can you check this out and tell us what you think? I'm wondering is this the new-way-to-go flour instead of almond or coconut flour. This is for the actual recipe link:

  15. Wes, Love the low carb life and especially your show. Biscuits are one of the few things I truly miss. Midwestern corn-fed girl raised on iron skillet cooking. Thanks for bringing back the biscuits! PS: I am coveting your matte black box grater.

  16. Love you lots, but I cannot call them biscuits. Sorry. Every time you say biscuits, I see my biscuits. You are talking what we would call scones. 😅 it gets confusing. This was great though.

  17. Best low carb bread on the market in 2020 is Franz keto bread. I get it at costco. It’s amazing! Soft! Moist and chewy just like bread.

  18. I haven’t yet had the chance to try either of the 2 recipes you reviewed. However, a few years ago I found this recipe for Low-Carb Sour Cream Biscuits. It is a personal favorite of mine. When I want a biscuit, this is my go-to recipe. I add sausage, egg, and cheese and pretend that it’s from McDonald’s. 😁😉

  19. I believe that Oopsie rolls were introduced by Dr. Atkins himself so no fear of insulting him

  20. I wonder if the first biscuit you made with oat fiber could also be used as a dumpling?

  21. Oopsie rolls are stinky nasty. Easy to make and they are pretty to look at, but ewww that smell.

  22. Hello Highfalutin' Low Carb. Please try Keto Buttermilk Biscuits Low Carb Staple by Nadia L. Hope you'll do a review to add to your battle. Couldn't find buttermilk powder in the UK, so substituted whey protein powder. Upped the butter and reduced the yogurt to compensate. The resulting biscuits looked and tasted like real Southern biscuits. Great while hot with butter. Good when cold with a cup of hot coffee.
