  1. I would definitely say you've influenced me to rethink and self-evaluate some of the things I've been doing on Keto. I haven't really started making my own mayo yet but I did start buying an Avocado chipotle mayo from Better Foods. All clean ingredients.

  4. Wow! I’ve seen amazing health benefits eating low carb/keto, but now that you mentioned the ear wax improvement, I no longer have so much wet earwax too! I used to have days where Debrox drops wouldn’t even help, I’d suffer with blocked ears often. Not any more!

  8. New to your channel, found you because of the rice videos! So excited for all the content you produce, your quickly becoming our favorite YouTube channel. We ALSO love Dr. Eckberg! Without him I may never of started Keto and Fasting, and I desperately needed to since I developed Ulcerative Colitis recently. Love your recipes and wit! This video in particular is gold!

  9. Just a small comment about the cold rice plain – since you said you so disliked it. About the only cold rice dishes I can think of which might make it more palatable would be a rice salad or rice pudding. That said, I personally don’t eat either much – I use cauliflower rice for the ‘salad’ (undressed, no dressing until it’s time to eat So more options). And for the first few days I prefer the crunch of the raw cauliflower. Later in the week, or if I have to put it in the freezer and later defrost, the crunch is gone so more like actual rice salad.

    And I’ve never been much of a rice pudding fan. I’d think chia pudding would be somewhat similar. What I’m trying to say is that it is the reheated rice that would be more interesting as cauliflower rice just isn’t the same at soaking up the gravy or sauce.

    I would very much like to thank you however for doing these experiments. It’s good to see how they affect you. One more thing – boiling potatoes (instead of baking) is also supposed to make the starch more resistant – in case you are interested.

  10. Steve, the ear wax comment reminded me of my situation. It has done the same to me. My ear canals are now are clearer and feel as if more open. I'd visit the ENT to address this problem. Thanks for mentioning this!

  11. Dr Steven Gundry ( author of the Plant Paradox) loves resistant starches like sweet potatoes and cassava root, as well as basmati rice. He says your gut microbiome loves resistant starches. He talks about blue zones, and in one blue zone they are very high carb, eating mostly resistant starches and no meat or animal products. This has me very interested.

  12. I love your podcasts- 30 mins twice a week would be something I would love ! Unfortunately because I live in Australia the Amazon sales and product testing don’t interest me because I can’t get those products here or shipping and exchange rate too prohibitive. Love your cooking posts also as I like to make all my food from scratch. Thank you for all you do for us – keto on!

  14. Hey Steve that wax build up in your ear you're talking about, I had that as well before I went on Keto. I saw a Dr. Berg video once regarding flaky ear wax and he said one of the reasons for it could be a lack of essential fatty acids in one's diet so I reckon we've been eating plenty of those on keto. Cheers
