One of the most significant drawbacks of any diet is that certain foods or food groups are off limits. With keto, that food group is carbs. By limiting your carb intake to 50 grams or less per day, you force your body to use more fat for fuel. On the downside, you have to give up things like bread, potatoes, pasta, breakfast cereal, and rice. That’s no big deal when you cook your own meals but can make eating out tricky. Not all restaurants cater to ketogenic dieters.

Because Chinese is such a popular cuisine, it’s great to know that there are plenty of keto Chinese food options for you to enjoy.

Even on a diet, food should be one of life’s pleasures. If your diet stops being enjoyable, you are much more likely to cheat or quit. That’s why it is so important to find keto-friendly foods you love. Fancy a Chinese meal? Go for it! Just make sure you order keto friendly Chinese food, so you don’t derail your diet.

  1. Check out Keto Asian Flavors channel for recipes for zero carb noodles that would work great in Chinese food dishes. Also, substituting xanthan gum and coconut aminos for the cornstarch and soy sauce will lower carbs.

  2. Unfortunately my favourite foods like sweet and sour chicken and seaweed both have carbs – they add brown sugar to seaweed 🙁 . Also, no, you can't just eat 20-50 grams of carbs on keto. Most people (and the recommendation) is to stick below 20g of carbs, and it HAS to come from veggies, not starchy carbs or carby root veg.

  3. "Vegetables" yeah, check it doesn't include potato or hidden carbs. Water chestnuts have enough carbs in them to count. Make sure you know your stuff about which foods contain carbs and what amounts. Also peppers in higher amounts have carbs.

  4. Excellent talk about eating keto at a Chinese buffet, give this video a magical 10 rating

  5. Very well pointed video! Probably one of the best videos I’ve seen from the point of view of a structure and facts!
    Big thumbs up👍

  6. this twat doesn't start explaining until 10 mins in and then talks about what you cant eat, basically if you want chinese forget it, its all carbs
